Beyond Foundation Classes

               This 60-minute class is held at Northwood Village Hall

                                every Monday  -  1.00pm - 2.00pm

These classes will concentrate on and improve the reliability of the behaviours already learnt in either our Foundation Course or any training that you have already done with your dog. 

Further distractions will be added, food will be removed from solid learned behaviours, and work will be done outside when possible. We will also be working towards taking you through the KCGCDS Bronze level and beyond if you wish to take part in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme awards.

We will be consolidating behaviours already learned and introducing behaviours such as:

Recalls  *  Lead-walking  *  Stay  *  Stand  *  Emergency Stops  *  Distance Control  *  Retrieve

We will be working on “life-skills” and basic manners such as:

Polite manners towards dogs & people  *  Food Manners  *  Giving possessions up      

Teaching your dog to "settle" while you are busy

We will also include some fun behaviours such as:

Giving paws  *  Spinning & Turning  *  Play Bow  *  Play Dead
